Saffron was asked to be one of the team to introduce the school assembly this week...........................

There are 4 short videos.....

Christmas is coming

MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm.............................. no more need be said.....

Let there be light

It took just 2.5 hrs to install a new solar tube in the kitchen area, bringing natural light to the room.  It sits very centrally in the house and gets very little natural light.  That all changes, and sun shades are now a must for indoors as well as out doors.  I am sure the only down side will be seeing one of the cats faces peering down at you occasionally!

Fushing in Petone

It was a lovely day Sunday, so we went fushing on Petone Warf.   Mum got dropped up further up the Hutt valley and cycled down to Petone (9.1km) while the kids were busy attempting to catch seaweed!

Remembering

Kate had me teaching her crocheting last week, which got me back into picking up a hook again.  With Armistice day approaching fast I crocheted up a few poppies and started making a few Christmas presents too.

The garden was looking good today so I took a few pics of the native grasses, flax, cabbage trees, and pohutakawa trees (not yet in bloom) and the plus trees.
Plus a few chickens, veg plots, lavender and Darma cat!  you should be able to click on the photos to get bigger images.

Wairarapa on a sunny Sunday

A sunny Sunday was spent in the Wairarapa at the value for money A&P show watching chopping, ponies, calves, poultry, pigs, working horses and enjoying ice creams.  Josh got to try out a remote controlled tank.

It was only 31 degrees when we got back to the car, sat in direct sunshine!  I think the real temp was 25-27 degrees.  Certainly hot enough for hats, Skinnies and ice cream.  Back home to egg hunt - 7 more found!
