Scotland the brave

Scotland did a public training session today, even the weather made them feel at home - yep raining! We all got out in the fresh air and went to see what they were up to. The Lower Hutt Mayor Ray Wallace did a formal welcome followed by a presentation shirt from coach Andy Robinson OBE. The Wellington pipe band then played while the team went to help some keen youngsters improve their rugby skills.

Back to the cake tin for the next game - RSA v Fiji, great start from Fiji, but they were unable to keep up the pressure and lost a number of opportunities.  Saffron and myself  had great seats!

Saffron finally looses her first tooth

Saffron has very high expectations of the tooth fairy this evening..... But ooh the excitement of loosing her first tooth.  Now the whistling can begin...she hopes!

Meanwhile Zoe has had a very busy week at work again, lots to do,lots of meetings and a new role in a new corporate level project, and now has the additional role of communications manager to add to the other project roles she is involved in. Only a strategic level communications plan to write by next week!

India's Netball endgame

As the netball season drew to a close the tea headed off to Naenae Swimming pool for R&R and informal prize giving and afternoon tea. Fun was had by all, including the siblings.

Wales v S. Africa - Live at the cake tin.

Denied they were! What a stunning performance from Wales, only to be denied a deserved victory by one single point. Despite the very late night, we got in to town early, so we got a park and get home quickly. it was a great night, the kids had loads of fun. India sat with myself and Saffron and josh with Andy 70 seats away. Stupid RWC rules ment you could only buy a max of 4 tickets at a time, Doh how family unfriendly is that!
Oh well, despite that it was a great view and just undercover, so as not to get too wet before the rain cleared up.

Zig Vest Done

I have just completed a test knit from one of my fav designers Tikki ( Ravelry link). It is from her new Zig-Zag-e-book of patterns.

I was lucky enough to get the chance to knit up the 30" vest, which is Josh's size. My ravelry project can be seen here.

He loves it and refuses to take it off now! A success then!

Dog Fight over Silverstream

Well kind off.......... Specifically in Josh's room!

Josh's new hobby and location of birthday money from Uncle Steve and Aunt Sara went into building his squadron of predominately WW2 fighter planes and a dive-bomber.....

The Saga will no doubt continue once he has money from selling his old bike and at Christmas....

RWC kick off day

Today is the day the 2011 RWC kicks off, in support of the All Blacks the school has a dress in black day, the kids had some face painting done once, twice and in one case three time. Ah the prima donna we have in our midst ain't ever happy. Unfortunately for her, she was being such a grot bag she managed to break my lovely mirror,oh well that's 7 years of bag luck to add to the grumpiness!

India on the other hand looked too scary all in black,so we had a quick scrub and went for the Moko look instead!!!
